Janitorial businesses can be very challenging. As a new business, you will have to prove yourself. You can start by approaching banks, building societies, hospitals, doctors offices, and insurance companies. Do small offices then gradually try to get some larger offices and buildings to clean. Some law firms and accounting firms may be interested as well. Learn the business as you go along. Remember to select your cleaning products wisely. Do not go for very cheap products. Go for the products that will give you the best results. Employ people that represent your company's vision and mission.
Right now you have to make a lot of phone calls. Ask for the manager responsible for cleaning and sanitation and make an appointment with him/her to do your sales presentation. Samples of work you have done would be great, using before and after pictures. You can offer to clean a friends house or garage in order to get these pictures. Listen to your customers needs and make every effort to satisfy those needs. Also, if you are doing well with your current clients they will recommend you to others. All the very best!!
