Obtaining a list of leads will just **** people off. You really want to be a telemarketer?
Make some business cards and start networking in person. Coffee shops, the gym, church, neighbors, friends, etc. And do what you can to make connections out of state as well.

You can sign up for free and try this service.
I signed up for gold which gives you 30 Surveyed leads, it has everything you need to know how much they want to make, how much they are making and why they want to get into a home business. you also get 550 auto responder leads and 2000 gold leads, you also get 2000 regular leads that heave never done much for me.

Start your own website about your business and promote it online and offline. If you are going to build a site for business purposes, make sure to get your own domain name. Its cheaper than you think. Here is a guide to getting started:
To promote it, build inbound links to your website.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:
The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank
with Yahoo / Google / MSN.
Also work on your meta tags. Here is an
article on how they work:

I agree with the other answer about irritating people by buying leads, unless you pay a ton! Marketing your own site for lead generation is a great way to get real leads and especially, people interested in your market, company, products etc.
Sites like: will do your online marketing for you.
Sites like: or or will build or help you build your own website quickly, easily and without costing you a ton.
Then you own the whole process and can pre-qualify your leads which means one thing…..better conversions! Good luck!
